By Jon Brake – In 1962, after getting out of the Army, I started in newspapers. Loved it, always have. At that time everything was still hot type, meaning news-papers were put out using Linotypes. At the end of each story the Linotype operator would put a line that just said “30”. That told the printer that it was the end.
